Revolutionary War period trunk as seen in Neumann's reference on Colonial Furniture. 26"L x 13" W x 12.5" H. Well used/worn with a few missing lid "shards." Dovetail construction with cut nails to lid. $595
HUMBERT HOWARD- (1905-1990)
Philadelphia born, an important figure among contemporary African-American artists. Howard was educated at Howard University in Washington, D.C., the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and the Barnes Foundation in Merion, Pennsylvania. He was also art director of the Pyramid Club, a popular and respected black cultural center in Philadelphia. His integrationist approach to art broke down traditional boundaries that often had separated black and white artists. A signed gouache of a seated woman in the original frame. PAINTING: 4.75" x 5.75"   FRAMED: 13.5" x 12.75"

CIVIL WAR-acquired from an old PA collection.Tinned and soldered sheet iron drum canteen, 2.25" thick x 4.25" D.  with screw on cap as was patented in the late 1850's, two round sling loops. see Sylvia & O'Donnell. Overall sound with old dark iron patina, dimples to walls, small splits in the good working cap. New cord. $185
